Why?
Because I am old enough to remember how cool social media was at first. Before the ads, the doomscrolling. It was just your friends - maybe your family - and you only saw their posts. Now you'd be lucky to see an organic post from your friend in a sea of promoted posts and recycled reels.
The internet was a magical place, we gave it up for the walled gardens, which became infested with weeds, and - you get the point. But here I can share what I would've shared there, but you won't get hit with ads. Just my random musings, the errata that takes up my brain, the things I'm up to - whatever. And I realize that unless you've made the effort to search this out, you probably won't see it.
Cool.
That's frankly a bit freeing, seeing as how there are now no expectations that I need to serve you, erstwhile passerby, with Content™. I can just noodle here in my own personal garden on the internet.
